Silliness from backstage last night:

(the background - guy makes an instant pudding that requires excessive shaking to get it mixed.)
Guy to massage therapist on crew:  D, I might need you to fix my arm.
Girl 1:  Were you making pudding again?
Girl 2:  Is that what we're calling it now?
Guy:  I'll have you know that I'm damn good at making pudding.
Girl 2:  There are people who aren't?  That's just sad.
Girl 3 (quietly from the corner):  There are simple directions on the box.

Heh - yes we made jokes about pudding for the rest of the night.

The show is open, the reviews are pretty decent and whoo-boy the audiences aren't there.  I'm hoping we manage to pull over a 50% house sometime this week.

The Wii fit thinks I'm 25 today.  That is kind of awesome.

I mentioned to my boyfriend that one of the things I need to do today is swatch my dragon.  He giggled for a few minutes.  Who knew knitting could lead to hilarity.

The pudding stuff sounds like a lot of fun.

I was going to ask if spring shows got less audience because of the weather change, but then I remembered where you lived.

When the crew gets into the right groove, the conversations are brilliant.

I'm not sure why this show isn't finding an audience. The show doesn't boil down into a sound bite for marketing very well, and the audience that is coming tends to either really like it or really not like it. Hopefully word of mouth will pick up.

I'm not going to lie, I probably would've giggled about the swatched dragon too.

Wii fit is usually unsure of my age. It's either 19/20, my actual age, or like 35. I don't know what I do to confuse it in such a manner.

It didn't even occur to me that it could sound dirty until he started giggling, but yeah, I totally see the silly.

The Wii fit seems to swing 12 years on either side of my actual age depending on the day and which balance tests it chooses for me. It is very strange.

Haaaa! Now I'm going to have that stuck in my head all day. Knitting can be so dirty sometimes.

The dirty didn't even occur to me until he giggled, but it is pretty awesome.

That whole pudding thing pretty much sums up the perfect green room conversation. :)

Exactly - when things are in the groove everything gets two meanings and the silly can go forever.

We're coming tonight! It's the next best thing to seeing GrooveLily's show.

Yay! I look forward to seeing you tonight. Though I'm as bummed as everyone else about GrooveLily, hopefully it will land a few more people in our theatre for the night.
