Two blocks into the run it had started to sprinkle just a little.
Passing the train station it had picked up into a steady rain; the ground was now just wet instead of being able to see individual drop marks.
Turning onto the next road the wind picked up, then the rain.
By a mile or so into the run it was a full out downpour and going sideways due to the wind. I decided to cut my run a little short (the rain was cold and I do have to be functional at work all week) and took a new route home that I had been wanting to try. I had planned to run four miles and ended up at around three.
When I got back to the train station the wind had died down.
Turning back onto my street the rain was starting to slack.
I got home and stripped out of my wet clothes, and decided to get straight into the shower instead of drying off to get wet to dry off again. Luckily there was plenty of hot water this morning. I just got out of the shower and outside my window? The sky is blue and the sun is out, though there are still occasional drips as the water blows out of the trees.
Whoever nominated me to be the rain deity today, thanks so much, but I would appreciate a little warning next time.
