I'm not dead yet
Point the first - jackhammers at 8am on a Saturday morning should not be allowed!!

Point the second - the show is running pretty smoothly overall. We have not extended (which makes me happy) so we have nine shows left until this one goes away. (I am between shows today at the moment.) Then I get officially four days off before I start the next one.

Point the third - "I wonder what aliens think of fireworks?" possibly my favorite sentence from all of the Fourth of July.

Point the fifth - this week I have seen Wordplay, Superman Returns, and the latest Pirates. Yes, I am a whore for the movies, why do you ask?

And now - memage! The first stolen from all over, the second from maxymama

You scored as Fallen Angel. You are a Fallen Angel empath. You have not found your place in this world yet and wander as a lost soul. Your wings have been clipped but you know deep inside they will grow back. You need to fly free and proud. Fallen Angels are spiritual beings who were trapped by flesh, and are now seeking to spread their wings again. (from the Book of Storms by Jad Alexander)

I kick ass at cartwheels! I can't do 'em one-handed anymore though. It's been too long and I'm out of shape (at cartwheeling, not in general).

I can teach you! Cartwheels are easy!

So people keep telling me. But my mom can still turn cartwheels at the age of 55 and I have never done one right. It sadens me.

I'm sure you have done one right; you probably just didn't notice. Plus, one can do them correctly, but not well, but one continues to do them and they get better. Just remember straight arms and three o'clock, rock and you're good to go.

I think I did one beautifully right once. I was practicing in the living room (which was way against the rules) and finally one felt totally right - it was stretched out and felt different and good. And I landed within an inch of the rocking chair - why I wasn't supposed to practice indoors. I was so freaked out that I didn't turn any cartwheels again for a month and then I lost it.

Three o'clock, rock?

That's how you do a good cartwheel: put one hand straight up (12 o'clock), the other at 3, rock yourself back and forth a little to feel... um, wheely, and then you just do it.

I don't think I ever mastered them, even though I was supposed to do some for a couple dances back in the day. And now I probably shouldn't ever do them, what with the shoulder and all.

See, now you should be doing the one-handed kind.

Think of it as "rehab".

did I miss point 4? And why do you only get 4 days off and not more? yuckiness.

No you did not miss point 4. I wrote July 4th in point 3 and then my brain just went straight to five. But I'm leaving it to see if anyone else notices.

And officially this closes on the 16th and I start prep for M Butterfly on the 21st. Realistically I won't need to prep for seven days so I'll get a little more time off, but these two shows are just that close together.

23. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
Dinner at KFC Thursday night. (I did not get one of the bowl thingys – ew)

I had one of those last week. Too much mashed potato.
